Recharge and Bill Payment section
The Airtel Thanks app allows users to do a prepaid recharge or pay their postpaid bills for different service providers (including Airtel) right from the app. You can also use the app to recharge/pay bill for broadband connection or recharge your DTH connection(s) belonging to several other operators including Airtel. The recharge and bill payment services on the app are not limited to Airtel customers only.
Non-Airtel customers can also use the app as their super app for managing various prepaid, postpaid, and other accounts. You can do the following from the pay section of the app:
- Recharge your and your family’s prepaid numbers
- Pay bills for your broadband connections
- Recharge your prepaid data card or pay the bill for a postpaid data card
- Do a recharge for your DTH and your family’s DTH accounts
- Pay your Airtel Black one bill
- Book a cylinder for your home
- Bill payment for piped gas
- Pay for municipal services
- Insurance premium payment
- Credit Card Bill Payment
- Do a FASTag recharge
And more.
Add existing connections
This feature is best for users who have the responsibility to pay their monthly family bills and manage their accounts regularly. The app allows users to add existing connections to the app after account verification. You can get reminders for due payments. Moreover, you can pay all the bills and complete all recharge from one single app.
Once you add a connection to the app, you would not miss any due payments or recharge. Here’s how you can set it up:
- Locate the ‘add existing connection’ option here. Tap on it to add a new or existing Airtel connection to your Airtel Thanks app.
- You have the option to add a prepaid connection, or a DTH, Postpaid, and Broadband connection.
- Enter the mobile number you wish to add for prepaid and postpaid connections.
- Your landline number will be sufficient for any broadband connection. Whereas for a DTH connection, you need to enter your DTH account number or service ID.
- Tap on the proceed button.
- Enter the OTP received on the registered number.
- Once confirmed, you will see that the account has been added to your Airtel Thanks app.
- You can view details of the added account/s on the home page under the services tab.
- Click on the Services tab to manage the account.
- You will be able to see account or data balance, validity, and other details for multiple accounts under the services tab.
You can also set up auto-pay for prepaid services in the app. Additionally, you can download e-bills and keep a track of transactions from the transaction history section in the pay section of the app.
